Features in the "Layout Manager" box let you (1) access an existing layout for editing purposes, (2) choose to preload a layout, (3) assign a hot key to a layout, (4) delete an existing layout, and (5) import and export a layout.

The "Layout Manager" box contains several features that let you edit your existing layouts.
The following table provides descriptions of the features in the "Layout Manager" box:
Feature: | Description: |
Hot Key Display Drop-down Menu | Specifies which groups of hot keys will be displayed in the main field. This drop-down allows you to have all hot keys displayed, or only the hot keys that pertain to "Navigation," "Layout," or "Order Entry." |
Layout Name | Displays the names of each of your existing layouts. |
Hot Key | Shows the hot key that you have assigned to each of your existing layouts. |
Fast Load | Lets you choose to preload a particular layout, which enables you to shorten the time it takes to load the layout on your screen. If this feature is checked for a particular layout, then Neovest will cause the layout to be loaded in your system's memory for fast retrieval. This feature is especially helpful if you wish to quickly open and close certain layouts on your screen in a short amount of time. For instance, if one of your layouts titled "PreTrade" is comprised of several Neovest windows that are designed to let you find and research potential trading ideas and is assigned the hot key "Ctrl+F1" and another of your layouts titled "Trading" is comprised of several Neovest windows that are designed to let you enter and manipulate your live orders and is assigned the hot key "Ctrl+F2," then you may quickly switch between these two layouts using their assigned hot keys without waiting for extended periods of time for the windows in each layout to load. |
Load Layout | Lets you load the existing layout that you have highlighted in the "Layout Manager" box. Neovest lets you edit any of the layouts that appear in the "Layout Manager" box. "Key Sequence." Next, press either a letter key or one of
the function keys (F1 through F12)
on your keyboard.
Note: Once you press either a letter key or a function key on your keyboard, Neovest will create a hot key based on the letter or function key you pressed. For instance, if you press the letter T key on your keyboard, then Neovest will create the hot key "Ctrl+Alt+T." If you press the F1 function key, then Neovest will create the hot key "F1." For instance, you may press and hold the Shift key prior to pressing the letter T key to create the hot key "Alt+Shift+T," or you may press and hold the Shift key prior to pressing the F7 key to create the hot key "Shift+F7." If you do not wish to use the hot key you created and wish to clear the hot key from the field directly below the words "Key Sequence," click Clear. Once you finish specifying the hot key you wish for the layout you highlighted in the "Layout Manager" box, click Set Hot Key.
