Near the top of Neovest's Time and Quotes window is a horizontal row of icons referred to as the "toolbar."
Icons in the Time and Quotes window toolbar are designed to let you access a Neovest feature or window with a single click.
The following table describes the function of each icon in Neovest's Time and Quotes window toolbar but does not explain in detail the features or windows associated with certain icons. As questions arise concerning any of the features or windows discussed in the following table, refer to the "Time and Quotes" chapter in Neovest's Help documentation for further assistance.
Feature: |
Description: |
Link/Unlink Window | Lets you link
or unlink a Time and Quotes window to or from other Neovest windows
that are open on your screen. All open Neovest windows that are
linked will load the same symbol; therefore, if you double-click
on a symbol displayed in an open Neovest QuoteWatch window, then
a Time and Quotes window will automatically load the same symbol.
As you click on the "Link Window" icon, the image of the
link will change to appear either intact or broken. If the link
appears intact, then a Time and Quotes window is linked to other
Neovest windows that are open on your screen; if it appears broken,
then it is not linked. Note: For information regarding linking a Time and Quotes window to "All" open Neovest windows or to only certain windows that are on the same channel, refer to the following "All" instructions in this table. |
All | Lets you choose
to link a Time and Quotes window to "All" open Neovest windows
or to only certain windows that are on the same channel. Neovest provides
20 different channels to which you may link windows. For instance,
you may choose to link two open Neovest windows to channel "1,"
which will cause the two windows and any other windows that are linked
to "All" to automatically load the same symbol. All other
open Neovest windows that are not linked to "All" or to
channel "1" will not load the same symbol. Note: For information regarding why you may wish to link and unlink a Time and Quotes window to and from other Neovest windows that are open on your screen, refer to the preceding "Link/Unlink Window" instructions in this table. |
Live / Bounded | Lets you choose to either receive live--or real-time--data or enter a time range to view data within a certain timeframe. If you select Live, then Neovest will allow you to view Time and Quotes data as it arrives in real time. If you select Bounded, then the "Choose Date/Time Range" box will appear, which will let you determine a start and end date and time range within which Neovest will display your desired Time and Quotes data. |
Pause | Lets you pause a Time and Quotes window. Once you click this feature, the scrolling real-time price and other data on the symbol you entered will pause. Once you click on the resume icon (""), Neovest will add all of the data you missed while the Time and Quotes window was paused to the Time and Quotes window and will begin scrolling real-time symbol data once again. |
Select Start and End Date | Accesses the "Choose Date/Time Range" box, which lets you enter a time range within which to view certain data. This box contains two calendars and two clocks that let you determine a start and end date and time range within which Neovest will display your desired Time and Quotes data. One unique feature of certain display fields in the Time and Quotes window is their ability to calculate data within your specified timeframe. For more information, refer to the "Display Fields" section in the Time and Quotes chapter of Neovest's Help documentation. |
Note: You may remove the toolbar in any Neovest window by pressing Alt+T. Once the toolbar has been removed, simply press Alt+T again to restore the toolbar.
Further features may be accessed by clicking the gear icon, located on the far-right of the toolbar.
The following table describes the function of each icon in the drop-down menu but does not explain in detail the features or windows associated with certain icons. As questions arise concerning any of the features or windows discussed in the following table, refer to the "Time and Quotes" chapter in Neovest's Help documentation for further assistance.

Preferences | Accesses the "Time and Quotes Preferences" box, which lets you (1) specify the type of real-time trading information to be displayed, (2) specify the maximum number of ticks to be displayed or enter a trailing minute value, which will cause Neovest to show only the number of minutes you have specified, starting with real-time Time and Quotes data and going backwards, and (3) change the font and color scheme in a Time and Quotes window. |
Make Default |
Lets you save a Time and Quotes window that you have customized as the default Time and Quotes window. Once you save a customized Time and Quotes window as the default, then each time you click on the "Time and Quotes" icon on Neovest's Launch Pad, your saved default Time and Quotes window will appear. |
Clear Default |
Lets you reset the default Time and Quotes window to the original default established by Neovest. |

Further features in this box let you search by "Description," "Ticker Symbol," "Bloomberg Symbol," or various symbol identification sources such as "RIC," "SEDOL," "ISIN," or "CUSIP."
